Interior bifold doors fold out of the way, allowing you to view the entire contents of your closet. You will be happier with folding doors that open and close smoothly, so you’ll want to pay close attention to place the hardware for hanging doors and the track hanging doors. Analyze the instructions that come with the kit track hardware where hardware must attach the pivot at the top and bottom of the door.
Measure the specified distance from the edge of the interior bifold doors in pencil, with a tape, and screw hardware pivot door with an electric drill. The hardware includes pivot round pieces that slide on the track and the pins pivots when the door opens and closes. If you are installing a pair of folding doors, install the hardware on both doors.
Measure the top of the interior bifold doors opening and cut the track with a hacksaw to fit if necessary. Slide the metal hardware hanging on the track, following the instructions that come with the hardware kit track. These pieces of hardware guide the hardware connected to the door as it opens and closes them. Keep the track to the top of the door and position it so that both sides are at the same distance from the front door.
